Chamomile Midwifery & Lactation

A black and white digital drawing of a man in a suit with a bald head, glasses, and a beard, smiling, with a shadowed background.

Chamomile is a plant known for being soothing, nurturing, and calming — long trusted to bring gentle comfort and restoration. Its seeds are light-seeking and cannot grow in darkness; they are actually sowed on the soil surface rather than being covered by dirt. Chamomile seeds need to be kept in the light.

I believe mothers are the same.

When I first came into this work, it was shaped by my own experience of being kept in the dark — unheard, uniformed, and not trusted to make my own choices about my body and baby. I was not invited into my own care. That experience is what led me here.

Chamomile Midwifery and Lactation was created to offer something different: care that brings you into the light. Where you are informed, your consent is honored, your voice is central, and your intuition is trusted.

I don’t see myself as an authority figure over you. I see myself as a sister walking by you in this journey.

I strive to be like chamomile for mothers during such a challenging season: calming, soothing, grounding, and caring.

More About Me

I’m a wife and mama to three sweet little ones. My first baby was a hospital induction with epidural, and my two others were born at a birth center unmedicated.

❀ In my free time, I love baking, reading books, lifting weights, and making herbal teas to sip on.

❀ One of my favorite places to go is up Spanish Fork canyon with my family to explore the mountains.

❀ My zodiac sign is Cancer, I’m an INFJ, human design type generator, and enneagram type 2.

❀ Growing up, I played piano, flute, and violin and was in my school band.

❀ I am trilingual; I can speak Spanish and ASL in addition to English.

❀ I have a deep love for learning; I’m always doing trainings, reading books, and doing deep dives into different topics.

❀ I’m an extremely sensitive and intuitive person, which used to bother me a lot as a child, and I was always trying to change it. Now I’ve found my place and I see my sensitivity as one of my greatest gifts.
